What is a “green job”? This article probes the answer to that question, while highlighting statistics (such as the 93,000 jobs in the solar industry) to prove that the green workforce is real – and growing. The article also outlines the state of green workforce training, by exploring the work of several colleges aligned with the Sustainable Education and Economic Development (SEED) Center, an organization dedicated to helping develop green job training programs at community colleges.
